Devine's Jordan Fraga recorded the longest rushing play in 3A Region IV District 29 this season in his game against Carrizo Springs last week. Fraga ran for 91 yards on the play and finished with 454 on the day as his team beat the Wildcats.
Devine extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Carrizo Springs, 61-29. The victory was the fourth in a row for Chad Quisenberry's team.
Devine's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warhorses feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tyler Cook has thrown for 412 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Pat Mares has 10 catches for 139 yards. Fraga leads the league in rushing with 2395 yards.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Hondo takes on the Warhorses. The Owls have allowed 234 points this season, while Devine has given up 130.
The Warhorses took down Eliseo Aguero's team 61-29 last week, the largest margin of any game. Fraga in the win.
