Ledyard and Woodstock Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Colonels will welcome the Centaurs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ledyard is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
On Monday, Ledyard earned a 13-9 win over Wheeler.

The team relied heavily on Mia Starling, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Julia Bonser, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Ledyard kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Woodstock Academy was a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They lost 7-1 to Stonington. The Centaurs have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
Madison Bloom made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Woodstock Academy now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Ledyard, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2.
Woodstock Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Ledyard has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Woodstock Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 3.2 strikeouts. Will Ledyard keep running through batters, or will the Centaurs buck the trend?
Ledyard took their win against Woodstock Academy in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 8-2 score. Will the Colonels repeat their success, or do the Centaurs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
