Wethersfield has struggled against Newington recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Among those leading the charge was Akari Rosemond, who rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also caught a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Enzo Corvino, who threw for 139 yards and two touchdowns.
Wethersfield's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-10. As for Newington, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-8.
