The Karns City Gremlins fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They enjoyed a cozy 34-19 victory over Mount Union on Friday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Karns City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Luke Cramer, who rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns. Hunter Scherer was another key contributor, rushing for 113 yards and a touchdown.
Mount Union's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Bryce Danish, who threw for 212 yards and two touchdowns on only 17 passes. Another player making a difference was Je'saun Robinson, who picked up 97 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Karns City's win bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Mount Union, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2.
Karns City will square off against Brookville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brookville is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games. As for Mount Union, they will head out on the road to face off against United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United] at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
