Basketball Recap: Amin Lieb Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Paw Paw

Penns Manor won against River Valley on Friday with 66 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Penns Manor Comets put the hurt on the Paw Paw Pirates with a sharp 66-44 victory. The win was all the more spectacular given the Comets' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 458th in Pennsylvania, while the Pirates are ranked 110th in West Virginia).

Penns Manor's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Amin Lieb, who posted seven points in addition to 11 boards and six steals. Lieb has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Dylan Kuzemchak was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten boards.

The victory got Penns Manor back to even at 9-9. As for Paw Paw, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Penns Manor will face off against West Shamokin at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Paw Paw has already played their next contest (against Hyndman Charter School), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
