The contest between Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering and St. Anselm's Abbey wasn't particularly close, with Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering falling 62-48. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' District of Columbia basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while St. Anselm's Abbey is ranked 252nd).
Meanwhile, Anacostia came up short against Ron Brown on Monday and fell 58-49.
Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering bumped their record down to 2-9 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Anacostia, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
Things could have been worse for Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-44 loss to Anacostia in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
