The Hudson Explorers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They lost to Twinsburg at home by a decisive 41-26 margin. Hudson was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Twinsburg apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Twinsburg got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kayla Cellura out in front who scored nine points along with nine rebounds. Cellura also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Dye, who scored six points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Hudson's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Twinsburg, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hudson will square off against Tallmadge at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Twinsburg, they will head out on the road to face off against Cuyahoga Falls at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cuyahoga Falls and Twinsburg are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
