There's no place like home for the Garrett Railroaders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Lakewood Park Christian with a sharp 46-26 victory on Friday. This was payback for Garrett, who suffered a 49-43 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Garrett's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luke Coffman, who scored 12 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Drayton Myers, who scored 14 points.
Despite the loss, Lakewood Park Christian still got an impressive performance from Mason Jolloff, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds. Jolloff scored a full 42.3% of Lakewood Park Christian's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Garrett pushed their record up to 3-1 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Lakewood Park Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Garrett will head out on the road to face off against Fremont at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fremont knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Garrett likes a good challenge. As for Lakewood Park Christian, they will be playing at home against Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Heritage focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
