At the plate, Cheshire saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Clarke, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Tyler Lentini was another, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Fairfield Prep gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They put the hurt on Foran with a sharp 12-2 victory. Considering the Jesuits have won nine matchups by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Brady Cesseratto, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Rotondo, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
Fairfield Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 11 consecutive contests.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Cheshire has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Fairfield Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
