Sasha Walker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 15 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2025. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, Abbey Jones was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kennidy Koshorek, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI and one double.
Bishop Foley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .756. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Marian's offense. They lost 13-0 to Notre Dame Academy on Tuesday. The Mustangs' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Bishop Foley's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Marian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
Bishop Foley's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's game. The Ventures have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Marian, though, as they've been averaging only 0.4 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Bishop Foley continue to outrun the ball?
Bishop Foley couldn't quite get it done against Marian in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 as they fell 5-1. Will the Ventures have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
