Trinity Presbyterian has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Booker T. Washington Magnet Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Tuesday, Trinity Presbyterian was beaten by the Panthers 56-29. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Trinity Presbyterian has scored all season.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Booker T. Washington Magnet, who are still winless after their 19th matchup. They fell 71-58 to Wilcox Central on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Booker T. Washington Magnet can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 455th, while the Jaguars are ranked 134th).
Trinity Presbyterian has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-8 record this season. As for Booker T. Washington Magnet, their loss was their tenth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-19.
Everything came up roses for Trinity Presbyterian against the Yellow Jackets in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 73-33 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Trinity Presbyterian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
