Football Recap: Flanagan/Woodland Piles Up the Points Against Bushnell-Prairie City

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Flanagan/Woodland). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 64-20 win over the Bushnell-Prairie City Spartans. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Leelynd Durbin went supernova, rushing for 81 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 carries.

Flanagan/Woodland didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Logan Ruddy. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Flanagan/Woodland is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.

Flanagan/Woodland is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.6 points over those games. As for Bushnell-Prairie City, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Flanagan/Woodland will face off against Pawnee/Lincolnwood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bushnell-Prairie City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
