Pima found a leader in Birdie Smart as the team took down Fort Thomas on Thursday. Smart scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances, which was good enough to set a new career-high in runs.

Coming up, Smart and Pima will venture away from home to face off against Miami at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Smart had to take a loss the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their matchup back in March of 2024 9-8.
