In what's become a running theme this season, the Newington Nor'easters gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They breezed by Bloomfield at home to the tune of 76-36. Winning may never get old, but Newington sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
It was another big night for Bela Cucuta, who scored 21 points along with two steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Nicole Petit, who scored 14 points.
Newington is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Bloomfield, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-16.
