Mountain Range scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They strolled past Brighton with points to spare, taking the game 83-66. That 17 points margin sets a new team best for Mountain Range this season.
Mountain Range's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but West led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. West hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mataeo Jourdan, who scored 24 points.
Erie posted their biggest win yet this season on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 67-39 win over Cheyenne Mountain at home. Given Erie's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while Cheyenne Mountain is ranked 276th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Mountain Range now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Erie, the victory also got them back to even at 5-5.
