Clarkson/Leigh lost against Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 54-45 score last time.
Despite the loss, Clarkson/Leigh still got an impressive performance from Christian Hamernik, who scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Korbin Lemburg, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds.
Among those leading the charge was Owen Kurtenbach, who scored 18 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Easton Baumgart, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
Clarkson/Leigh's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clarkson/Leigh will face off against Madison at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family, they will head out on the road to face off against Battle Creek at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday.
