Midd-West is 0-3 against Selinsgrove since November of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Midd-West Mustangs will look to defend their home field against the Selinsgrove Seals at 7:00 p.m. The timing isn't great for Midd-West: they have been struggling with 17 straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Selinsgrove has snatched up six consecutive wins on the road.
Midd-West fell victim to Central Mountain's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Wildcats on the road and fell 42-0. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.
Meanwhile, Selinsgrove can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They breezed by Montoursville at home to the tune of 35-7. Given Selinsgrove's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Montoursville is ranked 215th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Tucker Teats was his usual excellent self, rushing for 290 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 14.5 yards per carry, and also picking up 45 receiving yards. Teats hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mark Pastore, who threw for 146 yards and two touchdowns.
Central Mountain's win bumped their season record to 3-6 while Midd-West's defeat dropped theirs to 0-9.
Midd-West took a serious blow against Selinsgrove in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 58-12. Will Midd-West have more luck at home instead of on the road?
