The Amesbury Redhawks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Tech Boston Academy/Muniz Academy 56-22 at home. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Amesbury as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Amesbury found their leader in underclassman Bailey Kimball, who scored 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Ellison Talbot, who scored six points.
Amesbury's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Tech Boston Academy/Muniz Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Amesbury will take on North Reading at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Tech Boston Academy/Muniz Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Amesbury at 4:00 p.m. on February 12th.
