Lia Doster made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Brooke Sowa was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Sadie Pickering was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Tiverton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .607. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cranston East only posted an OBP of .167.
The win (which was Tiverton's third in a row) raised their record to 19-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Cranston East, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.
As of now, neither Tiverton nor the Thunderbolts have any future games scheduled.
