Everything went their way against the Trimble Tech Bulldogs on Tuesday as the South Hills Scorpions made off with a 17-2 win. The Scorpions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.
Emily Reyes looked comfortable as she struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Moriah Dean was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Miley Gonzalez also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
South Hills kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive contests.
South Hills' victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-14-1. As for Trimble Tech, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
