Westbrook is 9-1 against the Gorillas since November of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Westbrook Wildcats will be playing at home against the Trent Gorillas at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Westbrook has seven straight victories, the Gorillas have 11 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
In what's become a running theme this season, Westbrook gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They breezed by Texas Leadership Charter Academy - Abilene on the road to the tune of 76-20. With Westbrook ahead 47-15 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Westbrook's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ethan King led the charge by scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brannon Larson, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Trent ended up a good deal behind the Cardinals on Monday and lost 65-46.
Westbrook's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.2 points per game. As for Trent, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.
Everything came up roses for Westbrook against the Gorillas in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 81-10 victory. With Westbrook ahead 47-5 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
