The James Island Trojans will take on the Beaufort Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. James Island is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.4 runs per game this season.
James Island gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They blew past Goose Creek 21-5. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Gators: they've now won four in a row.
Haylee Holseberg was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. Holseberg was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.

In other batting news, Kendall Wharton was incredible, going 2-for-3 with seven RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Josie Nance was another key player, going 3-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI.
James Island kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Beaufort came up short against Lexington on Friday, falling 11-2.
Hadley Stevens was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season.
James Island now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Beaufort, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5-1 record this season.
James Island got the 'W' in their previous matchup on March 11th against Beaufort by a conclusive 13-0 score. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
