The Genesee Wolves suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Wednesday. They were beaten by Bendle 80-52. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Genesee in their matchups with Bendle: they've now lost seven in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Genesee lost, one person who can't be blamed is Connor Rouse. Despite the final result, he scored 27 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rouse has scored all season. Q Bannoura was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds.
Malis Firman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bendle, scoring 31 points along with five assists and four steals. That's the first time this season that Firman scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris King, who scored 16 points along with four steals.
Genesee's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Bendle, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Genesee will face off against New Lothrop at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bendle, they will head out on the road to take on New Standard Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Standard Academy will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
