The Rensselaer Central Bombers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 46-24 margin over Andrean. The victory was just business as usual for Rensselaer Central, who after 13 games remain undefeated this season.
Leading Rensselaer Central to victory were Taylor Van meter and Kamri Rowland. Van meter scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Rowland scored 16 points along with eight steals. Those eight steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Cadence Manns, who scored three points along with three steals.
Rensselaer Central pushed their record up to 13-0 with that win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.33 points. As for Andrean, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Rensselaer Central will be home for the holidays to greet South Newton at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. South Newton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 395th, while Rensselaer Central is ranked eighth). Andrean won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Hanover Central at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th. Hopefully Hanover Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Saturday.
