Football Recap: Big Day for Fort Calhoun's Secondary

Fort Calhoun won the last time they faced Roncalli Catholic and things went their way on Friday too. The Pioneers strolled past the Crimson Pride with points to spare, taking the game 27-13. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pioneers.

Kaiden Rodriguez went supernova, rushing for 105 yards and one touchdown, while also picking up 68 receiving yards and one score. Adam Elofson was another key player, throwing for 169 yards and three TDs.

Fort Calhoun didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. Logan Brewer was the real danger to the passing game, picking up two interceptions all by himself.

Although Roncalli Catholic took the loss, they still got scores from Andrew Johnson and Brady McGill.

Fort Calhoun's record is now 2-0. As for Roncalli Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Calhoun will take on Boys Town at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Roncalli Catholic, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Lakeview on Friday.
