In what's become a running theme this season, the Lexington Minutemen gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past Wooster 63-36 on the road. The victory was just business as usual for Lexington, who after 14 games remain undefeated this season.
Despite the defeat, Wooster saw an underclassman step up: Tre Edwards scored 12 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Edwards has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ethan Shetler, who scored seven points.
Lexington pushed their record up to 14-0 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.7 points per game. As for Wooster, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lexington will square off against Lincoln at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Lincoln is ranked 43rd, while Lexington is ranked 25th). As for Wooster, they will head out on the road to challenge Lake at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
