Vanguard Academy Mozart has not had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Several Vanguard Academy Mozart players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aidan Cerda, who scored 27 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cerda has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlos Alvarez, who scored 17 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Vanguard Academy Rembrandt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gilardo Perez, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Perez has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Damian Cantu, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Vanguard Academy Mozart has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Vanguard Academy Rembrandt, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-10.
