The Thompson Valley Eagles will head out to challenge the Severance Silver Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Thompson Valley will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Thompson Valley's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Northridge 10-0.
Evan Raabe was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Thompson Valley is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-5 otherwise. Raabe was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-2. That's the most home runs he has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other pitching news, Jonathon Jack looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (two).

Engelland has become a key player for Thompson Valley: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Landon Carrol was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
Thompson Valley lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Severance came up short against Roosevelt on Monday and fell 8-5.
Severance saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Declan Moylett, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Another was Brady Iversen, who scored two runs and stole a base.
Severance's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Thompson Valley, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Thompson Valley hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Severance struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Thompson Valley couldn't quite get it done against Severance in their previous meeting back in March as they fell 8-3. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
