Basketball Recap: Ramona's Loss Ends Nine-Game Winning Streak at Home

Ramona entered their contest against Norte Vista on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Ramona Rams came up short against the Norte Vista Braves, falling 86-60. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 481st, while the Braves are ranked 221st).

Ramona's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Troy Terrell, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds, and Andrew Green, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 20 boards. That's the most boards Green has posted since back in December of 2024. Troy Long was another key player, putting up four points and five assists.

Norte Vista's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carter Fulton, who posted 27 points. The match was Fulton's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Hugo Morales, who earned 24 points.

Ramona's loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-6. As for Norte Vista, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-6.

Ramona has already played their next game (against Jurupa Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Norte Vista has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Rubidoux.
