Bayfield (Colo.) captured the lead in the fourth quarter and held on for a 22-15 victory over
Grand Valley (Parachute, Colo.) on Saturday. The Wolverines took the lead for good when
Zane Phelps ran for a touchdown.

The victory was a step in the right direction for Bayfield, which was coming off a 24-6 defeat at the hands of Aspen in its previous game.
Bayfield (3-2) will play a 2A Western game against Coal Ridge next week, while Grand Valley (0-5) will take on Pagosa Springs also in a 2A Western game.
