The Rogers Rams will square off against the Olympia Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Rogers came out on top against South Kitsap on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Rams blew past the Wolves 10-1. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Emma Mitchell (2028) made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madison Adair (2026), who went 2-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ava Rossmeier (2027), who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Rogers kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Kitsap only managed two.
Olympia never got on the board in their matchup on Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Spanaway Lake on Monday. They put the hurt on the Sentinels with a sharp 14-1 win.
Olympia got a massive performance out of Sydney Potvin, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlynn Carey, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Rogers' victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Olympia, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
Olympia's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Rogers has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 12.3 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Olympia, though, as they've been averaging only 4.2 strikeouts. Will Rogers keep running through batters, or will the Bears buck the trend?
Rogers got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 against Olympia by a conclusive 15-0 score. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
