There's no place like home for Weiss, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the Anderson Trojans on Thursday as they made off with a 28-7 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won seven games by 20 points or more so far this season.

Weiss' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dallas Schad, who picked up 95 receiving yards and three TDs. Those three receiving touchdowns gave Schad a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Schad, who threw for 234 yards and four touchdowns.

Another reason for the win was Weiss' imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 3.5 sacks. Reagan Smith refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Weiss got some further help from Noah Mcpeak: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made 19 total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Anderson lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jay Fullmer, who picked up 146 receiving yards and one score. He was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 66 yards. Anderson also got a significant boost from Caleb Crenshaw, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 102 yards.

Weiss is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Anderson fell to 9-1.

Weiss and Anderson are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Wolves will challenge La Porte at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Anderson, they will take on Friendswood at 3:00 p.m. on the 15th.
