The Lexington Minutemen had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past Wooster, posting a 78-50 victory at home. Fans of Lexington have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Anthony Carmean and Ethan Shetler certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Carmean scored 18 points, while Shetler scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Bowen, who scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds.
Lexington's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Wooster, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lexington will face off against Mansfield Senior at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mansfield Senior and Lexington are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Wooster, they will head out on the road to face off against Ashland at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
