Willows hasn't had much luck against East Nicolaus recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Willows is taking a road trip to challenge East Nicolaus at 4:00 p.m. Willows is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
Last Thursday, Willows made easy work of Paradise and carried off a 9-3 victory. The Honkers haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Kimberly Garrison was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Adrianna Hurlburt was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. She also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season. Gianna Colonico was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Willows hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Paradise struck out nine times.
Meanwhile, East Nicolaus had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bears an 18-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Kylah Glenn and Stevie Knight made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Glenn pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Knight struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). At the plate, Glenn scored a run while going 1-for-2, while Knight went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Makinze Massey was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Arii Denis, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.
Willows now has a winning record of 4-3. As for East Nicolaus, their record now sits at 9-1.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Willows hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. However, it's not like East Nicolaus struggles in that department as they've averaged .422. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Willows might still be hurting after the 12-2 loss they got from East Nicolaus in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Willows avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
