Make it seven blowout wins for the Crown Point Panthers this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Johnsburg Central 76-22 at home. With Crown Point ahead 52-5 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Trevor Harris continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Crown Point's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Stone, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Johnsburg Central's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Killian Vanderwarker, who scored two points along with ten rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that Vanderwarker pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nick Sauer-Jones, who scored four points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Crown Point has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Johnsburg Central, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.
