The Schley County Wildcats can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Manchester as Schley County made off with a 48-25 victory. Winning is a bit easier when you make five more threes than your opponent, as Schley County did.
Schley County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emma Walker, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Walker has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Payton Goodin, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Manchester lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jhazarea Battle, who scored six points along with two steals. Battle is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Macaria Mahone, who scored six points along with two steals.
Schley County's victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Manchester, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-8.
Schley County will face off against the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Greenville and the Wildcats are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Manchester, they will be playing at home against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
