Having just played yesterday, the Fike Demons will get right back to it and host the Southern Wayne Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fike is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
On Wednesday, everything came up roses for Fike against West Johnston as the squad secured a 75-40 win. The Demons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Fike's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jamaria Freeman led the charge by dropping a double-double with 23 points and ten boards. The contest was Freeman's 15th in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Emory Skinner, who went 8-for-16 en route to 22 points.
Fike smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 12 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Southern Wayne played a tough match on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against East Wake, falling 54-26. The Saints haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Fike will need to focus on slowing down Nevaeh Hines-Bass, one of several Southern Wayne players who made an impact when they last played. She posted 12 points and three steals. Hines-Bass has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.
Southern Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Fike, they pushed their record up to 20-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.
Thursday's contest is shaping up to be a scrappy game: Fike has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 27.1 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Southern Wayne, though, as they've been averaging only 13.4 boards. Given Fike's sizable advantage in that area, Southern Wayne will need to find a way to close that gap.
Everything came up roses for Fike against Southern Wayne in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured an 89-23 win. Does Fike have another victory up their sleeve, or will Southern Wayne turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
