2A District 3 recap September 10, 2013
St. Edward's took down Archbishop Carroll 34-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Brock Miller ran for 160 yards and caught 2 passes for 40 yards during the win.

Dillon Smith and T.J. Gibson gave Trinity Christian Academy a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Smith threw for 30 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Gibson ran for 227 yards. Teammate Ryan Corrigan added to the ground attack by rushing for 11 yards.

Smith put up the best numbers in passing as Trinity Christian Academy topped Taylor. Smith's favorite target this week was Amorie Archibald, who caught 2 passes for 30 yards.
Gibson provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Chris Dorminey's team bested the Wildcats.
Gibson was a force in the backfield as the Eagles defeated Taylor.
Bill Motta's team's John Schwerer and Mcgee have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 2A District 3 in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Schwerer has thrown for 126 yards this season, while Mcgee has 3 catches for 46 yards. Trinity Christian Academy's Gibson leads the league in rushing yards with 367.
The Eagles made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,798 from 10,413. The improvement came about via a 20-0 victory over Antuarn Williams' team last week.
