The Frederick Cadets are on the road again on Tuesday and play against the Linganore Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th. Frederick will be strutting in after a win while Linganore will be coming in after a defeat.
Frederick has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 30 points or more this season. They took their match on the road on Thursday with ease, bagging a 64-23 win over Governor Thomas Johnson. Given Frederick's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while Governor Thomas Johnson is ranked 118th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Linganore's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to Oakdale.
Frederick's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Linganore, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
Frederick came up short against Linganore in their previous matchup back in February, falling 58-48. Can Frederick avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
