The Gregory-Portland Wildcats waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They escaped with a win against Carroll by the margin of a single free throw, 36-35. This was payback for Gregory-Portland, who suffered a 64-34 defeat the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Madison Kilgore, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. She hasn't dropped below two blocks for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Rheanna Escamilla, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Gregory-Portland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season. As for Carroll, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-18.
Gregory-Portland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Carroll also has no future games currently scheduled.
