York Suburban hasn't had much luck against Spring Grove recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The York Suburban Trojans will take on the Spring Grove Rockets at 4:15 p.m. York Suburban is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, York Suburban didn't have quite enough to beat Oley Valley and fell 8-6. The loss was the Trojans' first of the season.

Sara Lim was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Naomi Carrasquillo was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Lim wasn't the only one working in the home run department: York Suburban lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Spring Grove fell victim to Shippensburg and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 13-0 to the Greyhounds. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Rockets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Spring Grove saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jozalynn Hartman, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double.

Having lost for the first time this season, York Suburban fell to 3-1. As for Spring Grove, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Friday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. York Suburban hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .329. However, it's not like Spring Grove struggles in that department as they've averaged .313. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

York Suburban might still be hurting after the 17-9 defeat they got from Spring Grove in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can York Suburban avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
