Baseball Recap: Verdigris Extends Winning Streak to Four

Verdigris waltzed into their contest on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Sequoyah Eagles with a sharp 13-1 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-0 back in March.

Verdigris let Mac West and Heath Hutchison run wild. West got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Hutchison got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI West has posted over his last three matchups. Another player making a difference was Ethan Hushbeck, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Verdigris' record is now 27-8. As for Sequoyah, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-16.

As of now, neither Verdigris nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
