West Valley had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Rogers on Wednesday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Pirates. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory was the sixth in a row for West Valley, bringing their record up to 11-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Rogers, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.
