The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Nativity BVM in their matchups with the Golden Bears: they've now lost four in a row.
Nativity BVM's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blake Adams, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Keating, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds.
Nativity BVM's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7. As for Mahanoy Area, their win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nativity BVM will take on the Hurricanes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Schuylkill Haven and the Green Wave are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Mahanoy Area, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Vikings at 7:30 p.m.
