The Girard Yellowjackets''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 21-14 to Eisenhower. Girard lost against Eisenhower in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 13-7 score last time.
Tucker Lindell was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 62 yards and two touchdowns. Lindell is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played.
Girard's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.0 points per game. As for Eisenhower, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Girard will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Academy of the New Church at 1:00 p.m. Eisenhower does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
