Ashley Levy was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.
Head-Royce kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive matchups.
As for Redwood Christian, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-5. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.
On Redwood Christian's side, Rachel Hendren made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Hendren, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Coming up, Head-Royce will take on Lick-Wilmerding at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Redwood Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Piedmont at 4:00 p.m. The Highlanders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.06 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
