The West Fork Tigers will be home for the holidays to greet the Green Forest Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Fork has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 532 points over their last eight contests.
West Fork has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 22 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Paris with a sharp 70-44 win on Friday. Given West Fork's advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while Paris is ranked 238th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Green Forest was the victim of a rough 66-41 defeat at the hands of Lincoln on Tuesday.
Green Forest might have lost, but man, Brayden Compton was a machine: he scored 28 points along with eight rebounds. Compton scored a full 68.3% of Green Forest's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
West Fork has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Green Forest, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
West Fork was able to grind out a solid victory over Green Forest when the teams last played back in January, winning 60-53. Will West Fork repeat their success, or does Green Forest have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
