Cardinal Ritter College Prep unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Thornton by a score of 53-50. While losing is never fun, Cardinal Ritter College Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 28th in Missouri, while the Wildcats are ranked first in Illinois).
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Chaminade had to settle for a 54-51 loss against the Knights on Saturday.
Cardinal Ritter College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Chaminade, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.
Cardinal Ritter College Prep strolled past the Red Devils in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a score of 79-65. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cardinal Ritter College Prep since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
