Union County had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came out on top against the Williston Red Devils by a score of 6-3. That's two games straight that the Fightin' Tigers have won by exactly three runs.

DEVIN DIGGS was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeffrey Brugh, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Union County's record now sits at 5-1. As for Williston, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

The future could be bright for both Union County and Williston: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Union County will look to extend Dunnellon's three-game losing streak when they meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Williston will try to hand Crescent City their third-straight loss when the two meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
