Ada is 0-3 against the Tigers since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Ada Cougars will head out on the road to take on the Tuttle Tigers at 6:30 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Ada has struggled recently with six defeats in a row, while the Tigers will arrive with three straight victories.
Last Friday, Ada was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-40 to the Falcons.
Despite the defeat, Ada saw an underclassman step up: Sadie Epps scored 19 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Rylynn Truett, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Weatherford typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Tuttle proved too difficult a challenge. They took down the Eagles 57-43.
Ada dropped their record down to 8-12 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Tuttle, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
Ada came up short against the Tigers in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 61-50. Thankfully for Ada, Landry Allen (who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
